VisioPointer® increases production yields and reduces food waste in production process, helping achieve UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
BIRMINGHAM – 25 September 2019 – TriVision, a leading manufacturer of high-end quality control automation, will use PPMA (Birmingham 1-3rd October 2019) for the UK debut of its VisioPointer® quality control system, designed to significantly benefit food and packaging business seeking to improve daily operations and reduce waste.
The stand-alone system is the company’s most advanced solution to date and amalgamates several hundreds of previous versions of quality control systems. It combines cutting-edge cameras and pioneering software, engineered to immediately detect errors and identity faults elsewhere in the manufacturing chain. For food and packaging companies this drives production efficiencies, prevents expensive product recalls and crucially allows these businesses to meet with UN sustainability development goals on reducing food waste.
Engineered as a full in or end-of-line inspection system, the VisioPointer® has already proven itself as a game-changer in these markets with companies including Danish Crown and Arla Foods. Arla Foods deploys it VisioPointer® to detect packaging errors such as seal contamination, quality defects and incorrect labelling before they leave the production site. This ensures that inaccuracies are remedied before the company incurs transport costs and provides the added benefit of protecting its brand reputation. According to Bjarne Randrup Nielsen, Production Line Manger, Arla Foods, the company enjoyed a significant decrease in production delays, waste reduction and customer complaints following the installation of VisioPointer®.
“PPMA is the ideal platform to demonstrate the VisioPointer®’s plethora of business-enhancing capabilities to the UK,” says Jesper Bach, CEO at TriVision. “With the food and drink sector the largest segment of manufacturing in the UK, the potential of the system is apparent. Every year, our solutions save around 10,000 tonnes of food waste across over 25 countries. This is an encouraging step to achieving the UN’s SDG.
“Beyond this, thanks to its flexibility, companies can seamlessly incorporate the system into their existing production line with minimal downtime. This allows food and packaging companies to safeguard their revenues and accelerate their time-to-market.”
