200W PSUs meet industrial and medical safety requirements
LONDON, UK, 12 November 2019 – RS Components (RS), the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE: ECM), a global multi-channel provider of industrial and electronic products and solutions, is stocking the XP Power ALM200 series of external AC-DC power supplies, designed to deliver high efficiency and low standby power meeting the latest environmental guidelines. The ALM200 is also approved to international medical and IT safety standards.
The ALM200 series offers voltage output options of 12V, 15V, 19V, 24V and 48V, each with power output of up to 200W. Class I and Class II versions are available. Load regulation is 3% or 3.5%.
Average efficiency exceeds 90% across all models, easily satisfying the requirements of the EU Code of Conduct (COC) Tier 2 energy efficiency standard. No-load standby power consumption is less than 0.15W, with earth leakage current less than 250μW. Medical and IT safety approvals include TUV 62368-1 and 60601-1 (medical EMC 4th edition), as well as various other CSA, UL, CB and CE standards.
The XP Power ALM200 incorporates overload, overvoltage, short circuit and thermal protection functions and comes in a fully sealed 209mm x 82mm x 43mm enclosure providing IP32 ingress protection. A smooth surface finish makes the unit easy to wipe down in a clinical environment.
The operating temperature of the ALM200 is from 0°C to 60°C, and each unit carries a three-year warranty.
The XP Power ALM200 is available now from RS in the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.
