The role
This is a great opportunity for a person who wants to develop their technical skills in a variety of industries. Full training on maxon products will be given. This role is due to the continued growth of the company.
The Technical Engineer supports our Sales Engineers and customers with technical advice via email/phone and sometimes face to face. The support queries are wide and varied. Engineers may need help to select the right product for their application or you could be working with customers on how to design maxon products into their project. You will also assist in the assembly of units and diagnosis of failures. No 2 days will be the same!
You should have a good technical background with either an Engineering Degree or BTEC. Ideally with good knowledge of DC Motors, gearhead and motor controllers. You must be confident to liaise with customers and support them technically and commercially on the phone or face to face. Whilst not a direct sales role, you must show good sales awareness to support our customers.
This role is based in UK office near Wokingham, with occasional travel to customer sites in the UK. The role is full time, 5 days a week.
Salary is dependent on experience, together with a company pension and healthcare scheme. An annual company performance related bonus is also offered, but not guaranteed.
