Universal Robots and Cobots.ie seek accelerate cobot adoption within the region
London, 21 January 2020 – In partnership with one of its Irish distributor, Cobots.ie, Universal Robots (UR), the worldwide leading provider of collaborative robots (cobots), will use the National Manufacturing & Supply Chain Conference (Dublin – 29-30th January 2020) to unveil plans for the country’s first collaborative robot training centre.
Based in Midleton, Cork the facility will comprise solutions from industry-leaders, including UR+ ecosystem partners, such as OnRobot and Robotiq. This will provide manufacturers with a dedicated cobot hub where they can gain first-hand experience of the full ecosystem and discover how they can quickly and seamlessly automate their operations.
The centre will also see UR expand its Authorised Training Centre where visitors will be able to join certified training sessions. Based on the company’s popular Academy online training, qualified trainers will deliver hands-on classes where attendees can learn programming skills regardless of their robotics experience or background.

Live on-stand demonstrations
Universal Robots will host live on-stand demonstrations throughout the show were visitors will witness the cobots complete high precision and repetitive tasks.
