~ Beckhoff UK’s Skills Lab series of technical online laboratories aim to provide practical skills for engineers ~
Industrial technology specialist Beckhoff Automation UK has recently launched its new Skills Labs, a series of videos with technical insights about TwinCAT, HMI and Beckhoff’s other products and services. The full series of videos is free and open to everybody interested in automation technology. The latest videos are available here.
Since the beginning of the year, Beckhoff has continued to launch new products including industrial PCs and helping engineers, machine builders and plant managers with several virtual webinars.
The new Skill Labs are not just web conferences, but practical, interactive videos that aim to help everybody in the industry get the technical skills to use Beckhoff’s products and services in the most efficient and effective way. This means people can watch anytime and anywhere to learn the skills they need, without needing to attend a live webinar at a set time.
“Beckhoff is committed to changing the industry with disruptive automation technology, but we can only do that if everybody has the right skills,” said Stephen Hayes, managing director of Beckhoff Automation UK
“With technologies like TwinCAT, TwinSAFE or TwinCAT HMI, engineers, plant managers or technicians can actually transform their plants and make them more automated. There is a lot of potential functionality for businesses to take advantage of, so it’s important that engineers and technicians are aware of what they can do and how they can use the systems most effectively.
“Over the past few months, we have been offering virtual visit webinars to offer insight into engineering concepts, but our Skills Labs are an opportunity to provide more technical, practical guidance. We’ve had positive feedback for our Skills Lab workshops at events previously, so we want to bring them to a virtual environment to continue providing support.”
All the videos are hosted by Beckhoff experts, including Jamie Withers, product specialist TwinSAFE, Beth Ragdale, product manager HMI, Chris Knight, product specialist I/O, and Jack Marshall, product specialist IoT.
The Skills Labs are freely available and will be updated regularly with new videos and experts. At the moment, the main videos focus on skills related to TwinCAT, IoT, TwinCAT 3 HMI and TwinSAFE.
