ZYGO WEBINAR — The Secrets to Creating ISO 10110 Drawings

(Middlefield, CT, USA 9th April 2021) ZYGO is delighted to announce the next in a series of webinars entitled “The Secrets to Creating ISO 10110 Drawings” on 22nd April 2021 (13.00 EST, 17.00 GMT, and 18.00 BST). Registration for the free webinar can be completed HERE.

The webinar provides important information about the ISO 10110 coded notation and how an ISO 10110 compliant drawing should be interpreted.

Eric Herman, an Optical Design Engineer for ZYGO Electro Optics, will be leading the webinar and will share some practical tips and tricks on ISO 10110 drawings.

Asked about the webinar, Herman explains  “Global optics standards have become more widespread and have led to increased adoption as time goes on. International standards for optical components and systems apply to a broad range of modern optical drawings including defining specifications, creating optical drawings, and testing. While some US fabricators have recently begun using ISO 10110 to create optical drawings, there remains confusion between the differences of the coded notation versus the traditional notes in MIL and ANSI drawing standards.”

Herman has been designing complex optical systems for 10 years, and has presented this material at both SPIE Optics and Photonics and OSA Optical Fabrication and Testing conferences. Herman also has an upcoming book soon due to be published entitled “Modern Optics Drawings: A Guide to ISO.”

ZYGO has decades of experience developing optical products across a wide variety of challenging applications from medical imaging to space communications. Using its proven development process, the company has taken dozens of optical products though the full product cycle of concept, specification, design, development, qualification and production.
