The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) has announced the successful candidates elected by the membership to take up key roles on the Board of Trustees, Congress and the Learned Society Committee.
The Board of Trustees is the governing body of IChemE and therefore members appointed to the Board are responsible for setting the strategic direction of IChemE. Congress is the member advisory body to the Board of Trustees and consists of two electoral colleges; one that represents geographical member groups worldwide (Regional College) and one that reflects membership grades from student to Fellow (Functional College). The Learned Society Committee (LSC) sets the direction for IChemE’s technical priorities and steers the Institution’s activities as a learned society.
Following a ballot held of all eligible members during April and May, the following appointments will be formally declared at the IChemE Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held as a virtual meeting on 14 June 2021.

IChemE’s AGM will take place at 08:00 BST on 14 June 2021. Any IChemE member can register for and attend the virtual meeting. Only Voting Members (Chartered and Fellows) will be entitled to vote at the meeting to approve the minutes of the previous year’s AGM, and to approve the re-appointment of the Institution’s external auditors. Voting Members who have registered to attend the AGM will receive a separate email from our independent electoral service provider, Mi-Voice, containing a unique voting code to be used during the meeting to indicate their preference.
