The Honeywell S100 Slam Shut Valve provides vital protection against overpressure, creating a safe environment for the installation and user.
This collection of flanged valves offers the highest level of protection for gas equipment, The S100 (Series 100) safety shut off valve uses an external impulse downstream of the regulating equipment, it is designed to shut off rapidly should the pressure surpass the predetermined amount set. Once the valve has shut, it will need to be reopened, this is done manually once it is deemed safe to do so. Protection is ensured by using an incorporated pressure equalising valve, which guarantees a safe re-arming procedure. The trip off pressure varies, with the standard model covering 18mbar to 560mbar, please note the maximum inlet pressure is 19bar and the maximum trip pressure is 6bar.
The valve can be supplied with 3 options of sizes, with 50mm (2”), 80mm (3”) and 100mm (4”) available. The S100 has a temperature range of -20°C – +60°C. This spring-loaded valve has been approved to module B + D of the PED 2014/68/EU by DVGW. For more approvals, please view the datasheet or contact our technical team.
When it comes to installing the S100, its worth noting that the valve can be mounted in any orientation, there are no strict requirements of the straight pipe on the inlet to the valve, allowing the S100 to be used in a wide array of applications.
