The Georg UK site in Wolverhampton has reopened for visits by existing and prospective clients.
During 2020 and for part of 2021, Georg UK took the decision to minimise visits to our office and manufacturing & testing hub in Wolverhampton to help minimise the spread of coronavirus.
As an essential business we remained open during the pandemic and introduced stringent measures to protect our staff including taking temperatures, a one way system around our buildings, staff working from home, hand sanitation points, additional cleaning, virtual meetings and displaying the NHS QR code for those who needed to visit us. These measures will remain in place in line with current HSE guidance.
Neil Wyke, managing director of Georg UK, said: “We’re delighted that we are now able to welcome clients back on site for meetings and to view their machines being built and tested.
“Virtual meetings have been a good way for us to provide support, but nothing beats being able to show people around our site – especially potential clients who are often surprised by the range of work we undertake.
“We are able to set-up a machine we have designed and built here on-site, for example an electric motor Test Rig, and fully operate it and pre-commission it, demonstrating to the client that it works to the agreed specification before it is transported and commissioned on their site.”
With lockdown restrictions lifted, Georg UK are seeing businesses revisit ventures that were delayed by the pandemic. Companies and institutions such as University R&D centres have growing confidence in the economy to place orders with Georg UK for new and exciting projects.
