Not many instrumentation companies can claim to have 40 years experience supplying metering solutions to the chemical industry. Based in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire Flowquip was one of the first of its kind, a flow meter distributor buying from the major flow meter manufacturers and putting metering systems together for the chemical and process industries. Although many of those manufacturers such as Perflow, Tylor, Rhodes and KDG are long gone, Flowquip have managed to adapt to change, embrace technological advances and are still one of the leading flow meter suppliers today, providing complete batch control systems, additive dosing systems and tanker loading and discharge systems to the chemical industry.
To celebrate 40 years Flowquip are excited to be exhibiting once again at the CHEM UK Show 2021 at Birmingham NEC next month. Launching at the show will be our new Trac-50 truck register, an accurate and robust solution for the accurate discharge of chemicals from tankers and trucks.
The Trac-50 has an internal logging memory, capable of storing up to 500 deliveries for record keeping and audit trails. Each delivery can produce a customised ticket for a local printer which contains time/date, ticket number, delivered gross/net volumes/mass, temperature and/or density and any errors that occurred during the delivery. In addition to ticket printing there is also a Modbus output available for connection to on-board tablets/PC’s for production of invoices or transmission of data via suitable GSM networks.
We will also be highlighting our range of additive dosing and batching systems for safe and hazardous areas. Our bespoke solutions can include flow meters, totalisers, pumps and valves complete in a robust Chemiguard™ enclosure, ideal for safe and secure batching and dosing into IBC’s, containers, drums and road tankers.
