BakerHicks, the multi-disciplinary design and engineering company, have appointed Lizzie King to the new role of Head of Legal, further strengthening their senior management team.
In her new role, Lizzie will provide ongoing contractual and legal advice for BakerHicks’ project delivery and leadership teams in both the UK and the D-A-CH region. She will report directly to Managing Director, Martin Lubieniecki, and will also sit on the company’s Leadership Team.
A qualified solicitor, Lizzie brings over ten years’ experience within the construction sector, in both private practice and in-house roles. She joins from Canary Wharf Group where she specialised in both procurement and disputes related work, providing advice to development, project, building management and operations teams.
With a detailed knowledge of current developments in construction law, Lizzie is highly experienced in litigation matters and acting for all sectors of the industry, from JVs, developers, contractors, subcontractors and insurers to engineers and architects.
She is also an active diversity and inclusion ambassador and is passionate about improving diversity in the construction industry, previously co-chairing a women’s steering group as well as working closely with a number of ethnicity steering groups.
Lizzie will be based out of the company’s London office.
