Engineering: Your recruitment for 2022 and beyond

Unless you have been under a rock for the last few years you or your business will have been impacted by Covid, BREXIT supply challenges and skills shortages.

The Government has repeatedly stated that employers need to help themselves by using the existing solutions and here the engineering sector is potentially in better shape than most.

The Government wants a high skilled, high wage workforce but has acknowledged that in certain areas skills gaps exist and has provided a route through the immigration maze. However few engineering entities have pursued getting a license to provide visa support.

It is hard to know why?

It is true that the application process is paperwork heavy, but it is straight forward.

A license lasts for 4 years.

You can use a DIY route by applying directly, but it is not recommended and any mistakes along the way sends you to the back of the queue.

Using the hybrid solution from Skills Provision and our visa partners Silk Route Legal (Law firm) means:

  • Professional handling of your application
  • Once appointed; local, national, and international recruitment commences
  • Candidate identification, selection and short listing occurs through a private portal
  • Interviewing and selection will begin, and conditional job offers made that will convert to employment contracts
  • The visa process is managed for you, but this does require staged payments of government fees
  • Finally, we will support the delivery of the person to the UK (hopefully quarantining will be behind us soon but we have dealt with that as part of the service)

As you will appreciate, we can only provide an overview here but as part of our marketing we offer a no obligation Zoom call for decision makers.
