Optimas OE Solutions, a global manufacturer and distributor of precision-made fasteners and supply chain solutions, have partnered with a British Superbikes Championship title contending team for the 2022 season.
Boasting a strong heritage within the automotive industry, including many renowned motorcycle marques, Optimas are excited to partner with the Lee Hardy Racing Team and VisionTrack Kawasaki. Optimas will be supporting the team’s championship ambitions with world-class automotive engineering expertise and through the supply of high-quality titanium fasteners, produced by the company’s own UK manufacturing division.
Peter Stevenson, Optimas UK Vice President, said: “This is a fantastic way to showcase our UK-based manufacturing at a crucial time of supply chain pressure. The 2022 BSB season is shaping up to be a competitive and exciting season, we are proud to be able to support VisionTrack Kawasaki and maximise their potential.”
Lee Hardy Racing made their first appearance on the British Championship scene in 2012 competing within the Superstock 1000 Championship. The team soon progressed into the premier class in 2014 and are now in their 8th year of competing with the British Superbike Championship. Securing second place in the 2018 season, the team now aim to go one better this year.
To achieve this ambition, VisionTrack Kawasaki have signed former champion, Leon Haslam, for their 2022 BSB championship assault. With a history of going from strength-to-strength the prospects for the season ahead look promising for Lee Hardy Racing with the notable return of Haslem from the World Superbike Championships – his sights set firmly on securing the championship for VisionTrack Kawasaki, a team more than capable of such a feat.
Commenting on the partnership with Optimas, Team Principal, Lee Hardy said: “I am excited for the partnership with Optimas Solutions, and I am looking forward to working with the business during the up-and-coming seasons. Optimas will deliver one-off precision fasteners that will be used on the VisionTrack Kawasaki.”
“We are looking forward to this new partnership and the opportunity to flex our UK engineering and manufacturing capabilities in this way.” said Mike Tuffy, President International. “Bar turning special application precision parts from exotic materials to the highest standards is a part of our UK fastener manufacturing offering, something we are pleased to be able to deliver to Lee Hardy and VisionTrack Kawasaki team.”
This partnership further strengthens Optimas’ commitment to UK specialty fastener manufacturing, providing a showcase opportunity through high-level professional motorsport within Great Britain.
