Item Products, Europe’s largest designer and producer of recycled plastic components for the packaging industry, will be exhibiting their range of innovative Box Latch™ products at the Tomorrow’s Warehouse event, held at the Coventry CBS arena on 8 June 2023.
With sustainability high on the agenda, Item will be using the event to promote to warehousing and logistics professionals, the proven benefits of using Box Latch products in their supply chains. Designed to promote the reuse of packaging before recycling, the Box Latch product itself is a carton closure device that provides manufacturing and retail environments with a reusable alternative to tape and staples by extending the life of corrugated boxes, thereby saving costs. With 90% of corrugated boxes being used only once before they are sent for recycling, or even landfill, the use of Box Latch in global supply chains can deliver realistic operational and sustainability efficiencies.
Tomorrow’s Warehouse is a conference and exhibition that aims to help logistics professionals tackle operational challenges including lack of warehouse space, skill shortages, throughput bottlenecks and sustainability targets. The event puts the spotlight on the unprecedented transformation in the warehouse, tracking trends and offering insights. The one-day, free-to-attend conference will also highlight a range of solutions that boost warehouse performance and flexibility
Also on display from the product range will be Clip & Stack, a novel recycled plastic corner fixing mechanism designed to hold box flaps out of the way for packing or unpacking. As with Box Latch, Clip & Stack can be used hundreds or thousands of times and allows boxes to be stacked in a tote configuration while open so that they are ready when needed at peak times. Clip & Stack is available in either ‘heavy duty’ in orange, or ‘standard’ in black or green.
Manufactured with recycled content material, thereby exempting them from the plastic packaging tax, Box Latch products can be recycled in the domestic waste system.
Item Products’ managing director, Julian Cook, said: “This is our first time exhibiting at the Tomorrow’s Warehouse event. We look forward to interacting again with visitors from outside our packaging industry sphere, and demonstrating how our low-cost and low-tech solutions can save the warehouse and logistics industry considerable time and money.”
