Pembrokeshire-based technical consultancy InSite Technical Services will celebrate four years of dramatic growth on December 1.
The Pembroke Dock-based firm is a supplier of technical consultancy and operational services to the oil, gas, metals, chemicals, renewables, technology licensing and financial industries.
Since its formation in 2014, it has grown from six directors up to its current number of 70 employees. On December 1 the whole team will be getting together to share a specially commissioned cake to celebrate the company’s success.
“At InSite we pride ourselves in being an employer that we would want to work for,” says Jason O’Malley, one of InSite’s directors. “We strongly believe that a happy and valued employee is a productive employee and we are proud to have created a culture where our people can reach their potential.”
The company counts the creation of high quality skilled jobs for people in Pembrokeshire as one of its major successes. Its team includes a mix of full and part-time staff, associates, contractors and apprentices.
“We are committed to developing the skills and expertise in our staff,” says O’Malley. “We’ve put trainees though evening classes, given others the opportunity to complete part-time degrees alongside their work, and we encourage our engineers to gain chartered status. The latest chapter in this story is the recent establishment of an apprenticeship scheme and the arrival of our first two apprentices.”
InSite also prides itself on providing a service that genuinely benefits its clients.
“Fundamentally, our job is to make our client’s jobs easier,” said O’Malley. “We have achieved this by understanding the clients’ requirements and the pressures and challenges that they face, because we have faced the same challenges and pressures in our previous role as senior management team at a top tier COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards) operating site. These include technical problems, changing product specifications, increased environmental regulations, budget constraints and windows of opportunity due to scheduled shutdowns.”
The coming year is expected to be a very exciting one for InSite. The company is relocating to a larger office space, the layout of which is better suited its needs as an engineering design and technical consultancy company.
“As such, we firmly believe this will be a catalyst for further growth,” says O’Malley. “The larger office space also opens up the opportunity to collaborate with other companies that share our vision and goals.”
InSite is also actively pursuing growth into new territories, by attendance at the ADIPEC (Abu Dhabi International Exhibition & Conference) exhibition in Abu Dhabi and the ERTC (European Refining Technology Conference) in Cannes this year.
“The new acquaintances and leads generated from these visits will result in an increased client base throughout 2019 and beyond,” says O’Malley.
“We are also confident that maintaining focus on our current client base will result in growth, as we further cement our professional relationships. Our continuous improvement objective helps us to better understand our clients with every project we complete, and provide a more tailored service.”
