On stand 4H30 at the 2020 Commercial Vehicle Show, Atlas Copco will showcase the latest developments in breathing air purifiers and on-site nitrogen generation; together with the company’s professional range of compact air compressors. All have been developed specifically to offer the workshop, bodyshop and tyre/exhaust bay operator compact dimensions, simple reliability and maximum energy savings. With the needs of automotive paint shop safety in mind, and designed from the outset for quick plug-and-play installation, Atlas Copco’s new BAP(+) breathing air purifier units combine the functions of water separation, contaminant filtration and desiccant drying. Breathing air purifiers play an essential role, by ensuring that workplace air is free from fumes, oils, vapours, gases, solid particles and micro-organisms. Some 30% smaller than other units on the market, BAP(+) purifiers comply with a wide range of industry standards and regulations.
Equally relevant, the use of a nitrogen supply in spray painting operations can reduce drying times and paint consumption. Atlas Copco’s new addition to its family of nitrogen generators, the NGMs 1–3 membrane technology units, can be seen on Stand 4H30. They represent a highly efficient, compact and straightforward on-site solution for low-flow N2 requirements, with the added benefits of minimal maintenance and operational costs. NGMs 1-3 membrane nitrogen generators are flexible enough to adapt to specific applications and offer N2 desired purities according to need from 95% up to 99.9%.
For repair shops, tyre bays, bodyshops and service garages in need of a small, reliable and affordable compressor, Atlas Copco offers the ‘Professional’ range of compressors. This includes the robust piston compressors and small rotary screw compressors, such as the company’s GX2-7 EP and G7-15 ranges.
A vital benefit of the receiver-mounted GX range is its space-saving design featuring footprints from only 0.5m2 up to a maximum of 1m2 making them ideal for small premises where space is at a premium, and for installations where the compressor is to be placed directly on the production line or in the workshop.
