April 2020 marks a special occasion for DMS Metering Solutions, as we turn 20 we look back at some of the key moments that make us what we are today!
To acknowledge the key moments we have created a timeline in our special edition of the MeterZone newsletter, you can take a look at photos, key events, and comments from our longest serving staff members. With all that is happening in the world at the moment it is nice to celebrate such an achievement and acknowledge our staff’s hard work.
DMS was started as Direct Metering Supplies from a single room back in April 1999. It wasn’t long before the expansion was necessary and DMS was formed as a limited company, moving to a slightly bigger space. In 2004 PoWogaz and GWF were added to the range that already included Sontex Heat Meters. Time continued to pass and DMS continued to grow, reaching the first million-pound turn over by 2009! in 2010 it was time for another move, taking DMS to Pinxton, Nottingham. More staff joined the team and more products added to our expanding range. A substantial event in our history was the arrival of the RHI (Renewable Heat Incentive) a Government incentive to create your own heat. This was a big deal for DMS as the Sontex Heat Meters were required for the RHI, being MID class 2 and RHI approved, they were/are a popular choice within the UK’s domestic and industrial heating market. DMS has had UK exclusivity of Sontex since the beginning of Direct Metering Solutions in 1999 and was brought to the UK market by Ceri Minns, the Founder of Direct Metering Supplies and DMS Flow Measurement Ltd.
