With three further industry awards secured to date in 2020, Zimmer Group has now built up a total of 26 international awards, all of which have been received in the last two years.
Zimmer Group was presented with these latest trophies at the recent German Design Awards, in Frankfurt am Main, in front of an audience of around 1,500 participants from politics, business, design and the press, which took place prior to the current lockdown.
The awards ceremony focused on three grippers from the internationally recognised handling specialist, which were included in the category “Excellent Product Design – Industry”.
The GEP5000 electric parallel gripper, GED5000 concentric gripper and the GEH6000IL IO-Link long-stroke gripper from the Zimmer Group each secured “Award Winner” status. The German Design Award 2020 international jury highlighted the following reasons for its decision on its website: “The GED5000 concentric gripper, GEH6000IL long-stroke gripper, and the GEP5000 electric parallel gripper together form a family which meets the highest levels of economy and ecological demands. The uniform, formal, clear design language, focused on the essentials, has been consistently designed down to the last detail and conveys a high degree of precision and quality”.
