Through continual investment, Thomas Keating has taken delivery of a new Doosan Puma GT3100. This addition sits nicely in with the existing CNC turning cell which has live tooling. The combination of CNC turning capabilities has enhanced their position in being able to offer sub-contract machining from the bespoke to batch parts.
As well as the improved turning section, Thomas Keating’s sub contract machining services covers, Wire and Sink EDM, surface grinding up to 800 x 400 mm capacity, jig grinding, cylindrical grinding along with 5 axis CNC milling and large CNC milling using a table movement capacity of up 1000 x 800 mm.
Since establishing 5 axis high speed machining Thomas Keating have been successful in strengthening their position within the injection mould manufacturing sector with the ability to produce further detailed and complex hard metal machined parts and electrodes.
