AVEVA Select Partners for UK & Ireland, SolutionsPT holds inaugural annual Xchange Conference once again bringing together their ecosystem of partners for world-firsts and a truly ‘hands-on’ conference experience. The newly branded Xchange Conference facilitates the coming together of IT, OT, operational and engineering leaders of leading industrial enterprises to provide a forum for exchanging information, expanding knowledge and exploring new technologies. This annual event is set to be THE conference to be at if you are in the industrial digital transformation space.
Twin events in Ireland and England marked a triumphant return to in-person events for hosts SolutionsPT who brought together leading figures from across the business spectrum including: AVEVA; Network Rail; Princes Foods; Pepsico; Thames Water and Irish Distillers among others, to showcase to attendees the very latest insight into the technology and practical implications of digital transformation.
The main conference agenda, which included a world-first introduction to AVEVA Operations Control from one if its key architects John Krajewski, was kicked off with a heartfelt welcome to delegates from SolutionsPT General Manager Sue Roche. Speaking after the events’ conclusion, Sue was keen to stress the importance of the opportunity to return to in-person events: “It is fantastic to get back in the same room with so many of our valued customers and systems integrators. Our Xchange event has provided, for the first time, a platform for us to bring together the world-class hardware and software solutions and services that we bring to market in the UK and Ireland and showcase the DX ecosystem that we believe is critical to digital transformation success for every enterprise.”
Event MC and organiser, Deon Van Aardt, was keen to thank those who attended and participated, saying, “We’re delighted with the success of Xchange this year and already switching our focus to next year’s event. Following an enforced lay-off from this type of event due to the pandemic, I’m delighted that it was so well attended by our customers and systems integrators, and grateful to all our speakers who contributed to an excellent agenda.”
Alongside the plenary conference programme, the accompanying expo showcased the world-class hardware and software solutions available through SolutionsPT, with the likes of Stratus Technologies, Advantech, Belden, Blackberry, ProcessVue, and ThinManager among those in attendance.
After the main programme and expo, hands-on sessions invited delegates to get a closer look at AVEVA 2023 releases, cloud computing, and cyber security, with sessions led by experts from throughout the SolutionsPT ecosystem.
Among those to present a keynote address was Kim Custeau, Executive Vice President, Portfolio, AVEVA, “The Xchange conference has been a great opportunity to meet so many users and implementers of AVEVA technology. Fellow presenter John Krajewski introduced the new, world-first, Operations Control offering from AVEVA, which is set to positively disrupt the way industrial enterprises approach SCADA/HMI and beyond. He also led a further UK and Ireland first, with a tour of the all-new OMI Web client, a core component of the new AVEVA System Platform Enterprise software suite that delivers the cloud interface for contextualised information integration that is set to transform how industrial companies leverage data from across the enterprise. The two addresses are at the heart of a huge revamp of AVEVA software in 2023 and offered a tantalising glimpse into the near future of Digital Transformation technology. Speaking after the event, John said, “I’d like to congratulate SolutionsPT on an excellent conference. It was the perfect place for me to unveil our exciting AVEVA Operations Control 2023 release, and take a deeper dive into OMI Web Client, a core component of the new AVEVA System Platform Enterprise software suite.
