Fresh from an inaugural attendance, Optimas OE Solutions, a global manufacturer and distributor of precision-made fasteners and supply chain solutions, have reported on the many great successes at this year’s Fastener Fair Global in Stuttgart, Germany.
Following a three-year break over the pandemic, Fastener Fair Global brought together an unprecedented number of professionals – and long-time industry friends – with over 1000 different exhibitors and over 12,000 attendees from across the globe.
With thousands of visitors passing by the stand every day, Optimas Solutions’ first-time attendance at the exhibition was highly rewarding. Representatives from Optimas’ UK, Germany, France, India and America teams came together to meet with numerous customers and suppliers, enhancing existing relationships and forging new ones.
Optimas are renowned for their advanced US and UK manufacturing capabilities, specifically through cold-forming. This process has over 150 years of history, but the team have proved its suitability in producing many standard and engineered parts for today’s complex production requirements.
The team engaged in multiple fruitful discussions about how onshoring and nearshoring their fastener supply from Optimas can allow manufacturers to lower their carbon footprint and minimise their supply chain risk. Cold-forming is also a highly reproducible and sustainable manufacturing process that produces minimal material waste, therefore allowing Optimas’ partners to meet their sustainability targets.
For three days the company’s stand was a veritable hive of activity but far from being job done, the team now focus their attentions on further progressing these conversations and cementing new deals and relationships.

For Optimas, however, beyond the great work carried out by the team, the undoubted, unlikely star of the show was a particular item of merchandise. An Optimas branded stress ball soon caught the attention of many attendees with one guest labelling it “the prize of the event”. These little stars were captured by many a lense and could be found scattered from Halls 1 – 7. For more than one reason, Fastener Fair Global 2023 was an outstanding success and facilitated a number of very productive discussions for Optimas, and the team are now looking forward to returning to the exhibition in 2025.
