Engineers Interest in PPMA Show Surges

The PPMA Show that recently returned to the PPMA Group of Trade Associations from a twelve year Joint venture with Reed Exhibitions, is surging ahead in terms of both visitor enquiries from engineers and stand reservations. The show which takes place from September 30 – October 2nd 2014 at the NEC, Birmingham, is expected to be attended by around 9,000 engineering professionals.

Commenting on the show, David Harrison, Group Exhibition Manager said “we have been extremely pleased with how the show is shaping up for next year. We have already sold almost 70% of the available space and may have to increase the size of the floor plan if the momentum continues. We have most of the major machinery and robot suppliers with an increased interest and stand reservations from Industrial Vision Manufacturers.”

Grant Collier, Group Marketing Manager said “we have increased the marketing budget substantially and have commenced an active social media strategy along with an extensive marketing campaign involving over 50 industry and sector journals. In addition we are putting together a comprehensive seminar programme starting with the Groceries Code Adjudicator who will explain how the major multiple supermarkets must treat their suppliers lawfully and fairly. This could have a positive effect on the machinery supply chain and help food manufacturers adopt automation.”

‘There will also be more processing machinery on display than ever before as this goes hand in hand with packaging on the production line. 54% of our visitors have responsibility for processing.  If you are an engineer in the Processing or Packaging sector then I would suggest this is a must attend event’ added Harrison.

In addition to the exhibition the PPMA Group Industry Awards will take place on the evening of the first day of the show. Open to anyone in the industry – not just PPMA Group members, the awards can help winners dramatically increase their sales with the knowledge that their products have gone through an independent and rigorous judging process by industry experts.   For 2014 Rory Bremner will be presenting the awards in front of over 400 senior personnel at a glittering gala event at the National Motorcycle Museum, adjacent to the show at the NEC, Birmingham. Anyone wishing to enter or sponsor the awards should contact [email protected] for a pack. For show details see www.ppmashow.co.uk
