With the dust settled on a successful MACH 2016, we are pleased to announce that the new machexhibition.com website has launched and the ballot process for MACH 2018 is now open.
The new MACH website now has responsive design to make it even easier to navigate, update and enjoy on mobile devices. The site contains all the latest MACH 2018 news and provides full details on the exhibition moving home for the first time in over 40 years.
The NEC is still the location, but the exhibition will relocate from Halls 4 and 5, to Halls 17, 18, 19, 20, 6 and 7. These Halls are located on the, newer, atrium side of the NEC complex and will see MACH 2018 occupying one single un-interrupted space, on one level.
This move will enable MACH to provide more top quality exhibition space. There will be more entrances to the exhibition which will enable the flow of visitors to be distributed more evenly throughout the Halls.
James Fudge, Head of Events at the Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA), who organise the exhibition on behalf of the industry, said “After a hugely successful MACH 2016, which saw a 10% increase in footfall and over £150 million worth of business done in five days, we have turned our attention to 2018 and how we can further improve on the exhibition, including the launch of the new website.”
He continued “The Hall move will give the exhibition the chance to grow and adapt in the years to come, making sure that we retain our position as the UK’s premier manufacturing technologies exhibition.”
Ballot
Space for MACH 2018 went on sale back in April at the 2016 exhibition. To date over 3000m² has already been allocated on the floor plans, as happy MACH 2016 exhibitors rushed to reserve their space at 2018’s show.
The first ballot is for stands in excess of 200m² and will take place on Friday 9th September 2016. Submissions for the first ballot will close at 17:00 on Wednesday 7th September 2016. The second ballot for stands under 200m² will take place on 21st October, submissions for this ballot close Tuesday 18th October.
James Selka, MTA, CEO said “The response to the launch of MACH 2018 has been overwhelmingly positive with exhibitors keen to secure their spots at the show. We are excited to launch the new website and open the ballot process for 2018, we have every confidence that this move will further enhance MACH’s reputation, as the home of manufacturing technologies in the UK.”
