AE Aerospace MD joins board of Midlands Aerospace Alliance

Peter Bruch, managing director of Birmingham-based manufacturer AE Aerospace, has been awarded a directorship by the Midlands Aerospace Alliance (MAA).

AE Aerospace was established in 1996 and as managing director and co-owner, Peter has helped build the business into a world-class supplier of high quality precision machined components for the aerospace and advanced engineering markets. The fast-growing company has more than doubled its workforce over the last three years and delivers a broad range of engineering solutions for some of the region’s leading aerospace manufacturers.

In November 2017, the members of the MAA recognised Peter’s insight and experience within the aerospace sector by voting him on to its 17-strong board of directors.

Peter commented: “The Midlands Aerospace Alliance is a highly respected and proactive organisation in this sector in our region, and it’s an honour to join the board. The aerospace industry is currently experiencing a period of significant growth, and it’s important that the supply chain that feeds it is ready to make the most of the opportunities this presents. The MAA helps with this by offering a range of services and support for its members.”

The MAA was formed in 2003 to support and represent the aerospace industry across the region and now has more than 300 members. It has the second highest number of members of any regional aerospace alliance in the world and its directors help the organisation meet its objectives.

Peter has served on the MAA’s Working Group for Supply Chain Performance for the past 2 years. This is one of the MAA’s three industry-led working groups which meet quarterly and report directly to the board. Peter champions the opportunities and challenges for SME’s and the Prime / Tier 1 companies operating within a sector which is one of the Midlands’ key economic drivers.
